Q: How long does microblading last?

A: Microblading will last 6-18 months. You will need a color boost every 9-12 months to maintain it’s fresh natural appearance. Hairstrokes do fade faster than all other techniques. If you are in the sun a lot, have oily skin, have regular chemical peels, exercise frequently, or are blonde or redhead, your makeup will fade quicker.

Q: Am I a candidate for microblading?

A: Do you have oily skin? Then probably not. The hairstrokes will appear more blended, solid, or not retain at all. Do you have large pores? Pigment will blur or blend in large pores. Are you a Fitzpatrick Skin type 1 (red heads/white skin/light eyes)? The pigment does not take as well due to hypersensitivity. If you answered yes to any of these questions, unfortunately you are not a good candidate for microblading. But you can opt to do a nice soft, powdered brow, which looks great!

Q: Can I have microblading or softap done if I have permament makeup done already?

A: This depends on each client. If it is faded enough and does not need a correction done, then yes. If you want to see if you are eligible, email or text me a recent picture, and when you got it done, and we can discuss it.

Q: How long does Softap powder brows and eyeliner last?

A: It usually lasts 1-2 years, but you will need a color boost every year to maintain it’s fresh appearance. If you are in the sun a lot, have oily skin, have regular chemical peels, or exercise frequently, your makeup will fade quicker.

Q: Can I get permanent makeup while pregnant or breastfeeding?

A: You cannot have permanent makeup done while pregnant. You can have it while breastfeeding, but I ask that you speak with your doctor about it before your appointment.

Q: Will it ruin the brow hair I currently have?

A: No it will not.

Q: Is it painful?

A: There is some discomfort, but I use a topical anesthetic to numb the area before any procedure. I can usually keep you comfortable. People usually compare it to getting their brows tweezed or threaded.

Q: Will I need a 3rd session?

A: Sometimes certain skin types don’t hold the pigment well. Some medications cause more bleeding than normal which causes poor color retention. If you are in need of a 3rd session, a $75 fee will be charged. The 3rd session must be done within 8 weeks after 2nd session.

Q: My brows are peeling and it looks like there is no pigment underneath! Does that mean it won’t stay on me?

A: This is normal and know that it takes time for the color to come back. It can be a little scary to think you went through all that and spent that money for nothing. Do not worry! Most of it will come back, and what doesn’t we will fix at your touchup.

Q: What medical conditions will prevent me from getting permanent makeup?

A: If you have diabetes, glaucoma, shingles, psoriasis, keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or are taking accutane, you are not a candidate for permanent makeup.

Q: Will my eyebrows be perfect?

A: No two sides of the face are the same. Perfection is my goal, but nothing is perfect. I try to make them as symmetrical as I can. I measure and mark them to achieve this. I draw a shape on and will ask your opinion. Speak up! We work on the shape until you love them, and then I follow that template to a T.

Q: Is there a guarantee?

A: There is NO guarantees made as to the final outcome. Your skin, lifestyle, and aftercare play a huge roll in your results. Everyone heals differently.
